That is more than 150 acres lost every minute of every day, and 78 million acres lost every year!

That is 27 football stadiums EVERY HOUR.

The Amazon is under attack. It's not a pack of armed guerrillas marching through the trees or a squad of fighter pilots dropping bombs that are wiping out the world's largest rainforest. No it is Man. Man's greed, Man's exploitation. Ever expanding industrial activity from petroleum, timber and cattle ranching businesses systematically effectively destroying the most diverse and abundant ecosystem on Earth. And the process is speeding up. While there's still time very little time before the world's largest rainforest is completely eliminated, NOW is the time to step up. WE CAN DO something.
